Fiona, the Principal of Balancing Act Adelaide is an urban planner and dog behavioural trainer. She has the skills to consider both dog and human needs and link dog behaviour with planning and design processes.

Our consultancy is unique. We are different. We go beyond the human centric approach and integrate the dogs’ perspective into our work. We are holistic. We understand the different areas associated with Pet Friendly Planning (open space planning, urban design, aged care and dog behaviour). We are passionate. Fiona has been researching dog parks for over 5 years, and audited over 30 parks in South Australia and some interstate (including Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne). Fiona is the author of a publication ‘Unleashed: a guide to successful dog parks’ for the Dog and Cat Management Board of South Australia.
